About Our Family

Family is important to us. Very important.
In an effort to slow down and spend more quality time together, we sold our home in the suburbs of Charlotte and bought a run-down house on 17 acres in beautiful Mount Pleasant, NC. After almost 8 months of renovations, we moved in. We always intended to do something with the property, especially the AC Lentz Saddlery building on it.
We have tried to instill in our children hard work and responsibility. They have made the transition well, they take care of the chickens, pigs, rabbits, and dogs. They also do yard work. They enjoy the property and the opportunity to ride the 4-wheeler, hunt, and roam the property.
Our property was also frequently visited by Grandma and Pop-pop. They also enjoyed the property and all it had to offer. They enjoyed seeing the transformation of the property and spending time with their grandchildren when they visited.

Unfortunately, on 2022, Grandma passed away unexpectedly. It was a sad time for our family and something we all still grieve over.

At this time, our family decided to start a memorial foundation in her honor. As we were looking for ways to raise funds for this foundation, we decided using our property and offering a great family event for the Holiday would be a great way to do it.
So we hope you can come and support this cause and the memory of a great woman. Hope to see you there!
All Net proceeds will go to support this foundation.

About The Trail

A trail that is a wooded trail with hills, creeks, and plenty of tress. This trail is just about .5 miles. Depending on weather, there can be some mud and even water to walk through. Make sure to bring propper footwear. While the hills and terrain are not treacherous, it is a trail with roots, rocks, and sticks found along the way. So you want to make sure you can handle this type of walk in the dark.

About The Cause

Shirley loved to love people and had a servant’s heart. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She treasured her children and the moments she made with them. As they were growing up, she gave them many fond memories as their Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader. She also served on the Board of Education at Stamford Central School.  Shirley touched many lives everywhere she went. All who loved her knew she couldn’t sit still for long and had a need to keep busy. After retiring from the National Bank of Stamford in 2007, she dedicated many hours of service at CORE Values in Stamford.  She was also active in the Sacred Heart Church Women’s Guild and Inner Wheel. Shirley was a fighter and after beating cancer three times the Relay for Life organization became dear to her heart. Even though all of these things were important to her,  her most favorite role was that of Grandma. Her grandchildren brought her so much joy and they were truly her world.
All proceeds will go to support the Memorial Fund her family set up that will award scholarships to high school seniors for college costs embody the qualities of Shirley.
